Most farm animal consultations are done on farm in the animal’s normal environment where the housing, feeding and history can be best assessed. However, some consultations can be done at the hospital i.e. calves and sheep, but it is always better to ring ahead with a brief outline of the animal’s condition. This helps us to assess if it would be better for the patient to be seen on the farm and avoid unnecessary discomfort to the animal in travelling to the hospital.
Routine consultations are best booked the day before to facilitate better management of manpower and timing.
All emergencies or sick animals will be dealt with promptly. Our emergency service is available 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
